How we met
A stolen glance during registration week, a chance run-in at the international office, VUT. Making googly eyes across the campus.
With thousands of eligible students on campus, university is a great time to meet a special someone. But meeting the special someone? That’s trickier. After all, we do a lot of growing up — and, sometimes, growing apart — during those four-plus years, and after graduation awaits a sea of ever-evolving careers, interests, passions, priorities.
Can campus romance survive all that? Tatiana and Arcel didn’t think so, at first.
It was Arcel’s Second year at VUT, (Eng Computer Systems) , and Tatiana’s first year (Information Technology).
They first “met” at the International Office, when Arcel was asked by a friend to assist Tatiana with registration process — right time at the right place?… — Well, Arcel did not take that as an advantage, but it had to start somewhere, somehow.
They just became friends by then, as Taty had to integrate and get focus on school, but there was a connection that none of them could resist. Arcel had the persistence like no one Taty’d met before – it was almost unreal. She was taken aback by his interest in her being that he’d barely known her and that they had only met on few ocasions. Their friendship had become romance, but theirs was still a new love on borrowed time.They became lovers, best friends – “his love overflowed, his perspective on life opened my eyes, his strong opinions on relationships intrigued me, and his love for both our families was impressive. From University till now we’ve loved hard, laughed hard, prayed hard, and even cried hard – but through our best days and worst struggles we’ve always been there for each other and somehow always come back stronger.” says Tatiana.
“You never know where life will take you, but we’re so excited to grow and share it together, 8yrs later we are getting married!” says Arcel.

Our first date
It’s was a lovely day during the spring break, Arcel invited Tatiana for dinner at the Stone Heaven on Vaal, a great riverside estate with a panoramic view, calm atmosphere and fresh breez; “What a romantic first date” says the couple…

Our Engagement
He planned everything with my lil sisters, we found ourselves having dinner at the Cafe Billi Bi at Stoneridge Center, they got me distracted and one of my sisters asked me to accompany her to the bathroom, when we got back, the man was on one knee, I screamed!!!…He popped the question as I approached, and of course, I said yes!!!.. I will never forget that day… “Taty”

Our Wedding Day
If you ever wanted to know how time flies, just decide on the date you’re going to get married; Time is the only thing that is not on our side, but we are so delighted that our good friends and family are always there for us and have been suppotive throughout time, we can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you all.
